1937年出生于四川鄰水縣一個(gè)吹拉彈唱寫(xiě)進(jìn)縣志的第一家照相館家庭，自幼染上藝術(shù)色彩，對(duì)繪畫(huà)倍加喜愛(ài)。命運(yùn)的陰差陽(yáng)錯(cuò)沒(méi)能走入美術(shù)學(xué)院，為了生存于1954年考進(jìn)西南人民藝術(shù)劇院做話劇演員。

1957年正當(dāng)藝術(shù)才華初展之際，風(fēng)云突變。因創(chuàng)作諷刺漫畫(huà)而受到不公正的待遇。在“文革”的逆境中我也并沒(méi)有向“命運(yùn)”屈服，在主演話劇的同時(shí)、愛(ài)上了舞臺(tái)美術(shù)，我決心拾回兒時(shí)的愛(ài)好，撫慰心靈的創(chuàng)傷，又作為謀身的手段。

1980年右派平反后調(diào)重慶市歌劇院任舞臺(tái)美術(shù)設(shè)計(jì)。

工學(xué)博士，現(xiàn)任浙江理工大學(xué)信息電子學(xué)院教授，碩士生導(dǎo)師。1993年至1997年，就讀于齊齊哈爾大學(xué)生物工程系，獲學(xué)士學(xué)位；1998年至2005年，分別就讀于浙江工業(yè)大學(xué)和浙江大學(xué)計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)與技術(shù)專(zhuān)業(yè)，獲碩士、博士學(xué)位。2008年至2010年于上海交通大學(xué)作博士后；2009年至2010年美國(guó)Rensselaer理工學(xué)院訪問(wèn)學(xué)者。2012年晉升為教授。IEEE (1-1163129461)、中國(guó)計(jì)算機(jī)學(xué)會(huì)（E200016385M）會(huì)員和杭州市計(jì)算機(jī)學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員。
