羅伯特·富蘭克林·楊（Robert Franklin Young,1915-1985），20世紀(jì)美國科幻短篇小說家，主要作品有《The Last Yggdrasill》和《The Dandelion Girl》(蒲公英女孩)。他幾乎一生都生活在美國的紐約州，除了第二次世界大戰(zhàn)中在太平洋戰(zhàn)場的三年半服役外。他和妻子在伊利湖(Erie, Lake)一帶也有房產(chǎn)。
人物生平
羅伯特·F·楊的小說創(chuàng)作生涯長達(dá)三十多年，直到死神到來那一刻，他都沒有放下手中的筆，從1953年開始，他陸續(xù)在種類繁多的雜志上發(fā)表了約一百篇短篇故事，起初在《Startling Stories》，然后是《PlayBoy》（花花公子），《The Saturday Evening Post》，但他最著名的是作為一位長期的投稿人，在雜志《Magazing of Fiction》和《Science Fiction》上發(fā)表了當(dāng)時最受讀者歡迎的一系列有關(guān)女巨人和她們不走運(yùn)的男性迷戀者（giantesses and their hapless male devotees）的故事。楊的小說類型主要是以詩意而浪漫的短篇小說為主，但足以雷·布萊伯利以及 Theodore Sturgeon 相提并論。其中許多作品由法國的《Galaxie》,《Fiction》以及《livre de Poche》的科幻選集發(fā)行了法文版。在意大利，他的多數(shù)作品由 Urania 雜志發(fā)行。
但無論是在美國，還是其他地區(qū)，楊還只能算小有名氣——幾乎在他逝世之前，科幻小說界才了解到他在水牛城（布法羅城 Buffalo system）的一所高中當(dāng)了幾十年的看門人。
作品介紹
羅伯特·F·楊最著名的作品應(yīng)該算是《The Last Yggdrasill》和《The Dandelion Girl》(蒲公英女孩)。前者于八十年代初發(fā)表在《Ballantine》，迪斯尼花了大錢買下了這部小說的改編權(quán)，但并沒有推出它的電影。而后者發(fā)表于《The Saturday Evening Post》1961年的四月，它深深地影響了日本動畫導(dǎo)演出淵裕的《翼神世音》、key社的《CLANNAD》以及楊后來的作品《Little Dog Gone》，不僅如此《The Dandelion Girl》還被提名為雨果獎最佳故事。
在《CLANNAD》中關(guān)于一之瀨琴美的故事中，《The Dandelion Girl》的女主人公朱莉（Julie）的一句話被多次強(qiáng)調(diào)：
Day before yesterday I saw a rabbit,
and yesterday a deer,
and today, you.
（前天我看見了一只兔子，昨天看見了一只鹿，而今天是你。）
