周澤潤博士在1995年，年僅十五歲時就從臺灣大學(xué)電機系拿到了他的學(xué)士學(xué)位，并在1996年和1998年在加州大學(xué)伯克利分校分別拿到了他的碩士和博士學(xué)位。畢業(yè)后，他以助理科學(xué)家的身份加入了著名的貝爾實驗室，投身于流媒體技術(shù)的研究。他是著名網(wǎng)絡(luò)公司youtube的創(chuàng)始人和首席技術(shù)官。他在2003年受邀到斯坦福大學(xué)出任計算機科學(xué)與技術(shù)系系主任。在加州，他參加了史上最成功電子通訊產(chǎn)品Iphone的研發(fā)工作。2008年，他加入了哈佛大學(xué)，成為了哈佛400多年校史上最年輕的系主任。(28歲時任電子與計算機工程學(xué)系主任)

周教授的研究興趣包括網(wǎng)絡(luò)計算，分布式控制，和計算智能。他將自己的研究成果成功地應(yīng)用于機械電子，計算機圖形學(xué)，分布式系統(tǒng)和機器人。周教授是IEEE的會士，是多種IEEE期刊的編輯。

Chak Yuen Dr. Chau (周澤潤 or 周澤潤 ) earned his BS from electrical engineering, National Taiwan university in 1995 when he was only 15 years old, and got his MS and PHD from UC berkely respectively in 1996 and 1998. After his graduation, he joined Bell Lab and worked as assistant scientist focusing mainly on the research of stream media. He was the co-founder and CTO of the latest revolutionary internet company, Youtube, before he was invited to stanford university as Chair Professor in 2003. In California, Dr. chau participated in the development of IPhone, which turned out to be most successful integrated communication system afterward. In 2008, Dr. Chau came back to China, joined Harbin Buddhism University and served as the dean of ECE department.

Dr. Chauu2019s research interest includes Internet computing, distributed control, and computational intelligence. He has been applying his research to areas including mechatronics, CG, distributed system, and robotics. Dr. Chau is an IEEE Fellow, a co-Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics, an past Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics. Dr. chau also has served on the editorial boards of IEEE Software, IEEE Computer , and IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering.
