柴人杰,男,浙江寧波人,1982年11月出生。2004年在中國(guó)科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)獲生物科學(xué)專業(yè)學(xué)士學(xué)位,2009年獲美國(guó)貝勒大學(xué)(Baylor University)生物醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)博士學(xué)位。
2009年至2013年于斯坦福大學(xué)(Stanford University)醫(yī)學(xué)院從事博士后研究工作。博士后期間作為項(xiàng)目負(fù)責(zé)人主持的課題獲美國(guó)斯坦福大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)基金和美國(guó)聽覺健康基金會(huì)資助,并兩次獲斯坦福大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院耳鼻喉系(第2屆和第3屆)研究成果討論會(huì)優(yōu)秀研究成果獎(jiǎng),兩次獲美國(guó)耳鼻喉研究學(xué)會(huì)(第34屆和第35屆)年會(huì)博士后旅行獎(jiǎng)金。
2013年8月受聘東南大學(xué)生命科學(xué)研究院教授,博士生導(dǎo)師。
2014年獲國(guó)際內(nèi)耳研究學(xué)會(huì)第57屆年會(huì)優(yōu)秀青年研究者旅行獎(jiǎng)金。
2015年6月獲江蘇省杰出青年科學(xué)基金資助,2015年8月獲江蘇省“雙創(chuàng)計(jì)劃”資助,2016年8月獲國(guó)家優(yōu)秀青年科學(xué)基金資助.

研究方向
內(nèi)耳干細(xì)胞調(diào)控機(jī)制的研究
聽力障礙是一種常見的耳疾。根據(jù)WHO 1985年全球聽力殘疾人數(shù)為4200萬,1995年估計(jì)為1.2億,2001年上升到2.5億,2005年達(dá)到2.78億,占全球人口的4.6%,其中80%殘疾人群生活在中低收入國(guó)家。其中老年性耳聾的主要原因是由于內(nèi)耳毛細(xì)胞和螺旋神經(jīng)元的損傷,而永久性感音神經(jīng)性聾主要是由于內(nèi)耳毛細(xì)胞的不可逆損傷和由于毛細(xì)胞損傷而導(dǎo)致的螺旋神經(jīng)元神經(jīng)突的退化造成的。因此如何使內(nèi)耳毛細(xì)胞和螺旋神經(jīng)元神經(jīng)突在損傷和丟失后修復(fù)和再生,是近年來聽覺領(lǐng)域研究的重點(diǎn)。本實(shí)驗(yàn)室的研究方向主要著眼于Wnt信號(hào)通路對(duì)內(nèi)耳干細(xì)胞的調(diào)控。通過對(duì)于內(nèi)耳干細(xì)胞調(diào)控機(jī)制的研究,誘導(dǎo)這些干細(xì)胞增殖分化成為具有功能的耳蝸毛細(xì)胞和螺旋神經(jīng)元細(xì)胞,從而治療聽力障礙。
