1989、1992年分別獲合肥工業(yè)大學(xué)學(xué)士、碩士學(xué)位。

1995年獲天津大學(xué)化學(xué)工程博士學(xué)位，。

2002年1月晉升為中國(guó)科技大學(xué)教授，同年4月受聘為博士生導(dǎo)師。

2000.9-12、2001.9-10、2006.12-2007.8、2007.12-2008.2分別以中日大學(xué)交流群學(xué)者、JSPS訪問學(xué)者和韓國(guó)Brain Pool訪問教授的身份在東京大學(xué)、東京工業(yè)大學(xué)、韓國(guó)光州科學(xué)技術(shù)院進(jìn)行膜技術(shù)的合作研究。

2004年入選國(guó)家教育部“新世紀(jì)優(yōu)秀人才支持計(jì)劃”。

發(fā)表SCI論文200余篇，EI收錄180余篇次，SCI他引1600余次，H因子27,4篇論文入選ESI高被引論文，一篇入選中國(guó)百篇最有影響國(guó)際論文，其中化工和環(huán)境類領(lǐng)域高水平刊物J. Membrane Sci., AI ChE Journal, Chem Eng Sci. , ES&T 31篇），論文被國(guó)內(nèi)外刊物或?qū)Ｖ�他�?90余次，申請(qǐng)專利28項(xiàng)（20項(xiàng)授權(quán)）。出版中文專著、譯著、合著4部，國(guó)際英文邀請(qǐng)專著四部中的5個(gè)章節(jié)，現(xiàn)為《J. Membrane Sci.》等三個(gè)國(guó)際刊物和《膜科學(xué)與技術(shù)》等兩個(gè)國(guó)內(nèi)核心期刊的編委，是《J. Phys Chem B》等24個(gè)國(guó)際期刊和《Chinese J Chem Eng》等19個(gè)國(guó)內(nèi)核心期刊的特邀審稿人。指導(dǎo)研究生45名（其中博士生30名）、博士后5名。指導(dǎo)本科生獲全國(guó)挑戰(zhàn)杯決賽一等獎(jiǎng)（2011）2000年以來主持國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目、面上項(xiàng)目、國(guó)際合作項(xiàng)目共6項(xiàng)，“973”二級(jí)子課題1項(xiàng)，其他項(xiàng)目近20項(xiàng)。2010年獲得國(guó)家杰出青年基金。

現(xiàn)擔(dān)任J. Membrane Sci等九種國(guó)際期刊執(zhí)行（客座）編輯、編委和《膜科學(xué)與技術(shù)》等兩種國(guó)內(nèi)期刊編委，擔(dān)任中國(guó)膜工業(yè)協(xié)會(huì)專家委員會(huì)成員、國(guó)家基金委化學(xué)部評(píng)議組成員。
