The JaneDear Girls 兩位成員Susie Brown和Danelle Leverett在納什維爾的一個作詞人的音樂會初次見面的。經(jīng)作詞人Kris Bergsnes介紹后，兩人相識并開始一起寫歌，后來也接受Bergsnes的建議，決定組成團體。

兩人簽約于 Reprise Records納什維爾分公司。Big & Rich（美國鄉(xiāng)村組合）成員John Rich成為她們的制作人和指導。2010年中期，Reprise公司發(fā)行了她們首支單曲"Wildflower."在鄉(xiāng)村單曲榜最高到達15位。第二首單曲Shotgun Girl于2011年3月21日在村臺開始打榜，首周55位。

2011年1月，她們獲得了成軍以來的第一個提名——鄉(xiāng)村音樂學院獎最佳新二重唱/組合。二月，她們迎來了第二個提名，鄉(xiāng)村音樂學院獎年度最佳二重唱/組合。
