1964年－1970年，清華大學(xué)電機工程系 本科生。
1973年－1975年，清華大學(xué)工程物理系研究生。
1978年－1980年，清華大學(xué)工程物理系研究生。
1990年－1992年，意大利Parma大學(xué)，訪問學(xué)者。
現(xiàn)任清華大學(xué)教授，清華大學(xué)教授提名委員會委員，清華大學(xué)學(xué)位評定委員會委員、生物學(xué)分委員會主席。
研究方向
生物醫(yī)用材料與組織工程學(xué)。
主要貢獻
■ 細(xì)胞與生物醫(yī)用材料間的相互作用，細(xì)胞對環(huán)境因素的響應(yīng)；
■ 組織工程中支架材料的制備、修飾及其生物相容性評價；
■周圍神經(jīng)等人體軟組織的損傷修復(fù)。
