    科研領(lǐng)域與方向

    家蠶分子生物學(xué)、基因組與功能基因組,利用轉(zhuǎn)基因等技術(shù)進(jìn)行家蠶品種改良和素材創(chuàng)新等。

    科學(xué)成就

    一、完成中國(guó)家蠶基因組計(jì)劃

    2004年繪制了6X家蠶全基因組框架圖,負(fù)責(zé)項(xiàng)目策劃、測(cè)序指揮到論文撰寫,以第一作者在Science上發(fā)表成果。2008年與日本合作,繪制了家蠶基因組9X精細(xì)圖譜,并作為客座編輯組織了Insect Biochem Mol Biol《家蠶基因組特別刊》,以第一作者發(fā)表了主題論文。2009年完成了40個(gè)蠶品系的基因組重測(cè)序和高精度遺傳變異圖譜繪制。發(fā)現(xiàn)1600萬(wàn)個(gè)SNP位點(diǎn)、31萬(wàn)個(gè)插入缺失突變和3.5萬(wàn)個(gè)基因組結(jié)構(gòu)變異,發(fā)現(xiàn)家蠶由中國(guó)野桑蠶而來(lái)的馴化為單一事件,并以第一作者在Science上發(fā)表成果。

    二、建立家蠶功能基因組研究平臺(tái)技術(shù)

    主持構(gòu)建了家蠶遺傳數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)SilkDB,成為國(guó)際蠶學(xué)和昆蟲學(xué)領(lǐng)域基因組權(quán)威數(shù)據(jù)平臺(tái);主持研制了世界首張家蠶全基因組Oligo芯片,完成了家蠶10萬(wàn)條EST測(cè)序和32個(gè)重要組織、器官的基因表達(dá)分析。主持建立了國(guó)際一流的基因定位克隆、RNAi、轉(zhuǎn)基因和基因定向敲除等平臺(tái)。整體水平居國(guó)際領(lǐng)先,部分成果已發(fā)表于PNAS、Genome Bio、Nucleic Acids Res和Transgenic Res等。

    三、在重要基因鑒定和功能解析方面有眾多發(fā)現(xiàn)

    提出了蠶絲蛋白合成、性別決定、免疫調(diào)控和發(fā)育與變態(tài)等為家蠶功能基因組研究中的首要目標(biāo)并得到國(guó)內(nèi)外同行認(rèn)可。圍繞該四大性狀,系統(tǒng)鑒定分析了主要性狀相關(guān)調(diào)控基因3000余個(gè),重點(diǎn)克隆研究了50余個(gè)關(guān)鍵基因的功能,申請(qǐng)基因?qū)@?6余項(xiàng),在Nat Biotechnol、Plos One、Genomics、BMC Dev Biol、Dev Comp Immunol和Insect Biochem Mol Biol等雜志發(fā)表家蠶研究論文超過200篇,影響因子合計(jì)逾300分。

    四、國(guó)際交流與人才培養(yǎng)

    多次被相關(guān)國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議選為執(zhí)行主席和特邀報(bào)告人,并在澳大利亞國(guó)立大學(xué)、墨爾本大學(xué)等四所知名大學(xué)講學(xué)。先后主持8個(gè)重要國(guó)際合作項(xiàng)目。973首席科學(xué)家,省部學(xué)科及學(xué)術(shù)技術(shù)帶頭人,主持973、863等項(xiàng)目30余個(gè),獲“十一五”國(guó)家科技計(jì)劃執(zhí)行突出貢獻(xiàn)獎(jiǎng)。先后獲全國(guó)五一勞動(dòng)獎(jiǎng)?wù)、光華工程科技獎(jiǎng)青年獎(jiǎng)、全國(guó)優(yōu)秀科技工作者、中國(guó)青年科技獎(jiǎng)、全國(guó)師德先進(jìn)個(gè)人、全國(guó)紡織行業(yè)年度創(chuàng)新人物、桑麻紡織科技大獎(jiǎng)、重慶杰出貢獻(xiàn)英模和重慶市優(yōu)秀共產(chǎn)黨員等榮譽(yù)和稱號(hào)。已培養(yǎng)畢業(yè)博士研究生17人、碩士研究生38人,指導(dǎo)留學(xué)生2人,他們中先后獲中國(guó)青少年科技創(chuàng)新獎(jiǎng)、全國(guó)“挑戰(zhàn)杯”一等獎(jiǎng)、澳大利亞化學(xué)感受科學(xué)大會(huì)“最佳學(xué)生獎(jiǎng)”等多項(xiàng)獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)。
