生平
曾在克林頓時期的白宮工作。
他有一段短時間想重返政治。他曾想在洛杉磯市政府工作，最終卻撤回申請�！肝胰ヒ粋�會議旁聽，而這是我生命中最乏味、沉悶的一個半小時。所以我撤回了申請盡管我?guī)缀蹙蛣俪隽�。我得�?1票！」
曾在美國國家公立電臺工作，在Weekly Edition這節(jié)目中當(dāng)過制作人和撰稿人，而且很喜歡這份工作。
曾在1999年得到Liberty Heights和Girl Interrupted.的演出機會后，到了洛杉機市，正式取藝名為Misha Collins。由于他曾到俄羅斯，能帶俄羅斯口音說話，所以得到過很多這類角色。尤其是電視節(jié)目《24》第一季中的Alexis Drazen。此后他也一直客串于各電視節(jié)目和電影。2006年他主演Karla，飾演Paul Bernardo。他于2008年開始在邪惡力量中飾演的Castiel，成為常駐演員，使他的知名度增加。本來他以為自己是在試鏡一個惡魔，一個頂級惡魔，所以盡量表現(xiàn)的好斗而且卑劣。 但他讀完臺詞后，Eric Kripke（SPN制片人）才表示其實他們是要一個天使，只是為了保密而不公布。后來他就被錄取了，演出邪惡力量第四季，第五季，也確定參演第六季。

由于他的家庭很貧窮，經(jīng)常因欠租而被趕走，他小時候最少每年要換一次學(xué)校。最后在Greenfield Center School畢業(yè)後，於1992年在Northfield Mount Hermon高中畢業(yè)。

母親在大學(xué)期間去了俄羅斯，結(jié)識俄國男友Misha,但其實他的名字是Mitya，他母親卻誤把他的昵稱誤解為他的本名，并把Misha這名字作為她兒子的名字，這讓Misha的父親很懊惱。Krushnic是加拿大源遠流長的姓氏，但不知道是源自俄羅斯、烏克蘭還是波蘭。
他是他高中有歷史以來(約1200年)身體柔軟度最高的男生。而2009年在一次受傷后的檢查中他才發(fā)現(xiàn)原來這是因為他的背骨天生缺了一部分骨頭。這也使他能在整容室中飾演一個柔軟度極高的瑜珈導(dǎo)師一角。有趣的是，面試時，當(dāng)他被問到有沒有學(xué)瑜珈（其實是沒有的），他說謊說他有學(xué)瑜珈，并且是從高中以后每天至少練一個小時。事實是他花了十天伸展，事後至少一個星期都要彎著腰走路。事實上他不會在這么做了，因為背骨的缺陷可能會使他癱瘓……
他2009年受傷的原因是他當(dāng)時以約55英里每小時的車速騎單車，他因此需要入住醫(yī)院。
他養(yǎng)有兩只烏龜，分別叫Drydraluxlaloud和Bonnie brae the second(他取的）.
他于2002年和高中的女朋友Victoria Vantoch 結(jié)婚，她在美國NASA工作。此外，他在洛杉磯市的家是他自己建的，他曾當(dāng)木工去賺大學(xué)學(xué)費。他花了整整兩年建屋，然后又花了四年時間修補才算住穩(wěn)當(dāng)了。
在2008年他在Loot中首次擔(dān)任助理制片人。Loot的導(dǎo)演是他中學(xué)時最要好的朋友，而這是他朋友的第一部電影，他負責(zé)編輯的工作。他在2010年拍了一部短片STRANGER DANGER上傳在網(wǎng)上，他表示有興趣多拍一些。
第一次演戲是五歲時演一個反抗母親的四歲女孩，這是在University of Massachusetts, Amherst的小劇場上的一個三小時的表演。他有一句臺詞:"Yes I can. I can believe it because it’s true."
