南開大學(xué)商學(xué)院信息資源管理系教授，博士生導(dǎo)師。原《津圖學(xué)刊》（社會科學(xué)二級刊物）副主編；《大學(xué)圖書館學(xué)報》（全國核心刊物）編委；《圖書館建設(shè)》（全國核心刊物）編委；中國圖書館學(xué)會第七屆學(xué)術(shù)委員會圖書館學(xué)基礎(chǔ)理論專業(yè)委員會委員。
1980-1984 華東師范大學(xué)圖書館學(xué)系，獲學(xué)士學(xué)位。
1984-1987 華東師范大學(xué)圖書館學(xué)系，獲碩士學(xué)位。
1992-1996 英國拉夫堡大學(xué)，獲博士學(xué)位。
主要研究方向
圖書館學(xué)基礎(chǔ)理論；圖書館管理；信息社會理論。
