李虹橋現(xiàn)任貴格教育聯(lián)合創(chuàng)始人及首席執(zhí)行官，曾任北京新東方前途出國咨詢有限公司美國本科部總監(jiān)， 新東方學(xué)校GRE/GMAT/SAT資深教師， 新東方學(xué)校SAT培訓(xùn)項目創(chuàng)始人之一，被學(xué)生親切地稱為“Upenn 大叔”。李虹橋老師曾任Upenn PCCW Pre-college項目學(xué)術(shù)負責(zé)人，代表該項目到中國招生。
解讀美國
美國大學(xué)能學(xué)到什么?很多，但我認為最重要的是文理并包、跨學(xué)科的知識架構(gòu)以及獨立思考的能力。此兩點極為重要，它能夠讓你具備終生學(xué)習(xí)的能力，且永遠不會被任何言辭和思潮輕易左右。你的成功，或曰作為人高貴的尊嚴(yán)，以及思想自由所帶來的巨大快樂，皆源于此。而后兩點更為重要，因其超越財富地位。本科留學(xué)申請的常識性思維。家長和學(xué)生總疑惑，美國人到底喜歡什么?其實美國人喜歡的，是任何社會都推崇的普遍原則。所以，中國社會認同的人品，性格，成就，大部分美國也認。切忌不要為了美國而美國，失去了自己。
工作感言
Among thousands of students I have taught during my 6-year career as a SAT/GMAT/GRE teacher, only a handful of them know how to explore their experiences, how to position themselves to right schools, and how to convince admission officers. Then I become aware of the significance of being a consultant: to guide students through the labyrinth of paperwork, to pull them away from the turbulence of over-ambition, and to bail them out of the abyss of frustration. When an applicant is lost in the jungle, a consultant makes radar out of the kidu2019s own intelligence and leads him/her to the glorious land.
