奧利夫·柯頓 - 簡(jiǎn)介

 奧利夫·柯頓( Olive Cotton)，澳大利亞著名女性攝影師。由北京雷動(dòng)天下現(xiàn)代舞團(tuán)與澳大利亞艾思普森舞蹈團(tuán)首次聯(lián)合創(chuàng)作表演的現(xiàn)代舞作品《初祭》，于2010年11月5日至6日晚上19:30，在北京解放軍歌劇院拉開(kāi)全球首演的序幕。

《初祭》是一部與祭祀相關(guān)的現(xiàn)代舞作品。第一段由艾思普森舞蹈團(tuán)藝術(shù)總監(jiān)娜塔莉·韋恩創(chuàng)作，艾思普森舞蹈團(tuán)表演。音樂(lè)是由澳大利亞著名的作曲家彼得·斯科爾索普（Peter Sculthorpe）專門創(chuàng)作。編導(dǎo)以澳大利亞原著民的祭祀儀式為素材，用澳大利亞著名的攝影師馬克斯·杜培（Max Dupain ）和奧利夫·柯頓( Olive Cotton)的經(jīng)典圖片影像，與人類求愛(ài)、婚禮、葬禮、友情等這些普遍的情感相疊映，營(yíng)造出了幾個(gè)極具共鳴的主題環(huán)境。   

奧利夫·柯頓 - 其人

Olive Cotton (1911-2003) was a pioneering Australian modernist female photographer of the 1930s and 40s working in Sydney. As a female photographer in Australia of that era, she was overlooked and her work at the Dupain studio was considered "art" rather than commercial. Cotton only became a national "name" with a retrospective and touring exhibition 50 years later in 1985. A book of her life and work came out in 1995. Olive Cotton captured her childhood friend Max Dupain from the sidelines at photoshoots, e.g. "Fashion shot, Cronulla Sandhills, circa 1937" and made portraits of him.[1] They were briefly married in 1937.

奧利夫·柯頓( Olive Cotton)，1937年與馬克斯·杜培（Max Dupain ）結(jié)婚，但婚姻很短。分居兩年后，兩人只在1944年離婚。

1944年奧利夫·柯頓與農(nóng)民羅斯麥金尼結(jié)婚。這家人后來(lái)搬到庫(kù)拉瓦沙。她有一個(gè)女兒薩莉1946年出生，兩年后，一個(gè)兒子，彼得。從1959至1963年她曾在考拉高中數(shù)學(xué)。第二年，她打開(kāi)她的攝影工作室，并留在庫(kù)拉瓦沙生活，直到她2003年去世。
