雅可布森教授十分重視中荷兩國(guó)的農(nóng)業(yè)科研項(xiàng)目的合作。他和同事啟動(dòng)了國(guó)際馬鈴薯基因組測(cè)序項(xiàng)目,并邀請(qǐng)中國(guó)農(nóng)科院作為第一國(guó)際合作伙伴。該項(xiàng)目的實(shí)施將使我國(guó)馬鈴薯分子遺傳和育種研究躍居世界先進(jìn)行列。他成功地策劃了中荷戰(zhàn)略聯(lián)盟項(xiàng)目(973計(jì)劃),該項(xiàng)目共吸引400萬(wàn)歐元的資金建立了雙邊基礎(chǔ)性高科技合作研究的重要平臺(tái),共同開(kāi)展合作研究。他積極引進(jìn)先進(jìn)的技術(shù),通過(guò)2n配子技術(shù)交流和開(kāi)發(fā),使我國(guó)專(zhuān)家快速掌握這一先進(jìn)、高效的育種技術(shù),成功培育了高淀粉馬鈴薯新品種"中大1號(hào)"。他還積極從荷方申請(qǐng)項(xiàng)目,目前已經(jīng)在中國(guó)投入200萬(wàn)歐元建立實(shí)驗(yàn)室,現(xiàn)擁有各種儀器100多臺(tái)件,總價(jià)值1500多萬(wàn)元。該實(shí)驗(yàn)室承擔(dān)了20多個(gè)863和973項(xiàng)目。 雅可布森教授是荷蘭接受中國(guó)學(xué)生最早和培養(yǎng)學(xué)生最多的教授之一,已畢業(yè)的博士9名,在讀的15名。他非常熱愛(ài)中國(guó),對(duì)中國(guó)人民懷有深厚的感情。近20年來(lái),一直致力于與我國(guó)在農(nóng)業(yè)人才培養(yǎng)和農(nóng)業(yè)科學(xué)研究領(lǐng)域的合作,為我國(guó)農(nóng)業(yè)科技進(jìn)步和經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展作出了重大的貢獻(xiàn)。 Prof.dr.
