申請者近幾年來，一直從事聚合物合成方面的研究，2006年主持完成國家自然科學基金青年基金一項（高分子量低成本乳酸共聚物的合成新方法研究），作為項目主要研究人員參加國家、省部級項目多項。
在教學方面，多年來先后主講本科生《復(fù)合材料學》、《復(fù)合材料制品成型工藝及設(shè)備》、研究生《高聚物分子設(shè)計與合成》、《材料的界面與表面》以及工程碩士的《高分子合成與改性》等多門課程，并指導了多名本科生和研究生的畢業(yè)論文。
