Timo Tolkki，1966年3月3日生于 芬蘭的Klaukkala，是芬蘭首席古典旋律金屬大老 Stratovarius樂隊的當(dāng)家吉他手,其個人風(fēng)格深受 Ritchie Blackmore、 Randy Rhoads 等前輩的影響。他以濃厚的古典音樂背景為其基礎(chǔ)，并以 巴洛克調(diào)式音階理論編寫樂句。這些年來 Timo 為騰云創(chuàng)作出經(jīng)典樂曲的同時，也致力于個人專輯的制作。1994 年發(fā)表的個人首張作品 "Classical Variations and Themes"，部份內(nèi)容取材自古典樂曲。
2002 年發(fā)表第二張個人作品"Hymn To Life”《Are you the One》選自他的第二張專輯，這首歌是 荷蘭哥特厄運樂隊 within temptation主唱sharon den adel與 timo tolkki合作的結(jié)晶。

Lord of the Rings 以吉他演奏為主軸，文藝復(fù)興時代的氣息散發(fā)在全曲之中， 巴哈的風(fēng)味明顯表現(xiàn)在Timo的演奏手法上。Fire Dance Suite 是首速度金屬曲，描述神秘的祭典之中，火舞將燃燒的靈魂吞噬，精湛的電吉他獨奏令人嘆為觀止。Guitar Concerto 是首吉他協(xié)奏曲，原作為 Aranjuez，Timo 以木吉他彈奏出感人的心靈之歌。 Northern Lights 為電吉他演奏曲，強烈的節(jié)奏如火焰般照亮北方的天空，如照示明燈般導(dǎo)引出一條康莊大道。Capriccio in A Minor 是首演奏小品，以小調(diào)音階即興的彈出隨興之想，有如 帕格尼尼再世。Back to the Ice Age 詭異的曲式帶我們回到史前的冰河時期，剎那之間思緒凍結(jié)在白蝁紀。Death of the Swan 改編自 俄國音樂大師 柴可夫斯基的名曲《 天鵝湖》，優(yōu)雅的天鵝隨著 Timo的 十指起舞，奏出天鵝的挽歌，讓人為之動容感動不已。Soldiers Prayer 描寫人類的悲哀，相殘只為爭權(quán)奪利，殺戮游戲中何時能發(fā)現(xiàn)真理？Flying Samir 飛揚的音符奔放在流暢的旋律之中，時空回到 巴洛克的宴饗之中。Sunwinds 以即興的手法表現(xiàn)出 日正當(dāng)中狂風(fēng)呼嘯的情景，多聲部吉他運用效果器重疊出和聲的感覺，有如艷陽高照。Greensleeves 重新詮釋古典名曲 《綠袖子》，這首 英國傳統(tǒng)民謠在尼龍吉他與電吉他的交織之下，顯得格外感人動聽。
