吳鈞自1982年起一直在高校從事英語教學與英美文學、翻譯文學、跨文化交際的研究。在高校任教30年來，她主講過本科、研究生的多種課程，教學生動有趣，因材施教，深受學生好評。

　　吳鈞在各類學術期刊發(fā)表學術論文三十余篇，她的著作《學思錄》、《埃德加·愛倫·坡驚險故事新編》以及英語翻譯吳開豫的詩歌集《自珍集》均獲學界好評。翻譯吳開晉詩歌《土地的記憶》榮獲1996年秋慶祝世界反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭勝利50周年的世界詩人大會詩歌和平獎。

　　吳鈞教授的《魯迅翻譯文學研究》為至今國內外第一本較全面系統(tǒng)研究魯迅翻譯文學的學術專著，由齊魯書社作為年度重點圖書于2009年1月在全國公開出版發(fā)行。出版3個月以來已經被國家圖書館及北京大學、清華大學等多所高校圖書館收藏，同時刊登在網(wǎng)上國家圖書網(wǎng)等30多家書店的詳細介紹書目中。受到中國文學和外國文學專家學者和讀者的關注和好評。該著作主要學術成就和創(chuàng)新點：

　　1.首次提出“魯迅首先成為翻譯家，后來才成為文學家”的新定位。這一新定位既不同于以往長期以來完全忽略否認魯迅翻譯文學功績的觀點，也不同于近年來“魯迅首先是翻譯家”的提法。專家評論認為吳鈞的新定位更為中肯全面。

　　2.首次把魯迅的生命哲學觀引入翻譯研究領域。以魯迅“一切都是中間物”的生命哲學觀為主線，論述魯迅翻譯的“中間物”橋梁作用，總結魯迅從翻譯起步的文學生涯的有益經驗，探究魯迅“中間物”人生哲學思想的中西文化淵源，特別是與中國傳統(tǒng)文化不可割裂的血脈聯(lián)系。

　　3.首次按三個歷史時期選取魯迅代表譯作進行了漢、英、德、日、俄等幾種魯迅所使用的翻譯語言文本的比較分析，魯迅的翻譯文本分析在研究領域目前仍然幾乎還是空白。

　　4.將魯迅的“直譯”理論與美國翻譯家韋努蒂的“異化”翻譯理論做了異同兩方面的比較研究。這種將魯迅的直譯理論與西方翻譯大家的異化翻譯理論的對比分析是一種全新的分析角度,目前此項研究剛剛起步。

　　5.嘗試用傳播學理論分析魯迅的世界傳播以及翻譯文學的影響與傳播，反思百年外國文學譯介，為新世紀中國文學走向世界提供成功的案例和典范。用傳播學理論分析魯迅翻譯文學是翻譯研究領域開拓性的新視角。

　　以上為該著作的創(chuàng)新點，均具有填補國內外魯迅研究空白的開拓之作，受到專家學者和讀者的關注。
