Rhys Ifans生于 英國(guó)的 威爾士，在威爾士是小 有名氣的戲劇演員。18歲離開(kāi)威爾士去 倫敦學(xué)習(xí)表演。在與 休格蘭特主演的《諾丁山》中嶄露頭角，2000年與 基努李維斯主演的《 替補(bǔ)隊(duì)員》中，他不修邊幅自以為是的形象再次得以完美展現(xiàn)。之后 美國(guó) 喜劇明星亞當(dāng)桑德勒合作《魔鬼接班人》更使其在 好萊塢占據(jù)一席之地。在《哈利波特與死亡圣器》中他飾演Luna的父親Xenophilius Lovegood�！冻仓┲雮b》中的蜥蜴人一角讓他走進(jìn)大眾視線，成為新一代超級(jí)英雄反派。Rhys Ifans在演繹喜劇角色之余也嘗試了不少嚴(yán)肅題材的影片，展現(xiàn)了他全方位的演技。感情生活方面，他曾經(jīng)與 西耶娜·米勒交往，兩人甚至曾經(jīng)訂婚，不過(guò)最終在2008年分手。
