原名杰弗里·林恩·戈德布拉姆，1952年10月22日生于賓西法尼亞州匹茲堡市，17歲高中畢業(yè)后，搬到紐約去住，開始舞臺(tái)表演。他的表演風(fēng)格獨(dú)特，因?yàn)楹ε峦浥_(tái)詞，在參加伍迪·艾倫(Woody Allen)導(dǎo)演的《安妮-霍爾》(Annie Hall)一片拍攝時(shí)，給觀眾的感覺是每次出場(chǎng)好象只有一句臺(tái)詞。1978年，戈德布拉姆在翻拍的科幻恐怖片《人體入侵者》(Invasion of the Body Snatchers)中再次出演角色，幾年后，高調(diào)出演《山水又相逢》(The Big Chill)。
簡(jiǎn)介
戈德布拉姆性格詭異，1984年參加拍攝的《天生愛神》(The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension)是一部詭異電影，正好符合他的性格，所以他的演技發(fā)揮得淋漓盡致，此片后來成為80年代詭異電影的經(jīng)典之作。在翻拍片《蒼蠅》 (The Fly)一片中所扮演的角色，更是讓戈德布拉姆取得了突破。戈德布拉姆還和前妻吉娜·戴維斯合拍了《烏龍記者》(Transylvania 6-5000)(1985)、《外星奇緣》(Earth Girls Are Easy)(1988)等影片。
也許有人想象不到，戈德布拉姆還參加了90年代以下幾部電影大作的拍攝：史蒂芬·斯皮爾伯格執(zhí)導(dǎo)的恐龍冒險(xiǎn)片《侏羅紀(jì)公園》(Jurassic Park)，《失落的世界：侏羅紀(jì)公園續(xù)集》(The Lost World: Jurassic Park)(1997)，描述外星人入侵地球的《獨(dú)立日》(Independence Day)等。戈德布拉姆在這些影片中扮演的都是智能型人物。
