人物簡介
１５７４—１６４６）明代文學家.字季重，號謔庵.山陰（今浙江紹興）人.萬歷進士，知興平、當涂、青浦三縣，又任袁州推官、九江僉事等職.清軍攻克南京后，魯王監(jiān)國，他被任為禮部右侍郎，進尚書.順治三年（１６４６），紹興失守，有人勸他投降，他閉門大書“不降！”避至山中，絕食而死.生性詼諧，平時常與狎客縱酒調笑，不加檢點.散文受徐渭和公安派的影響.
主要作品
作品以游記散文著名，明麗清新，往往于詼諧中含諷世之意.代表作有《天姥》、《孤嶼》、《游北固山記》、《觀泰山記》、《游五臺山記》等.詩重自然，不拘格套.錢謙益評說“季重為詩，才情爛漫，無復持擇，入鬼入魔，惡道岔出”（《列朝詩集小傳》。著有《王季重十種》。
